Silver Gilt Award at Chorley Flower Show 2026

The good weather this year resulted in a strong attendance at the show where HPS NW Group staged a display led by Joanne Williams (HPS NW Group Chairman) in the amateur societies' "Bloomin' Big Marqeee" between 31st July and 2nd August. Our interpretation of the show theme was: 'American roots - Garden plants with North American ancestors' and featured 'Prairie' and 'Woodland/forest edge' styles of planting. As well as a set of interpretive panels containing habitat information, there was an attractive vase of fresh cut cut hardy perennials.

The Society received a well-deserved Silver Gilt Award. Very many congratuations go to all members who participated in planning and designing the display, growing plants, transporting plants and materials, construction, dismantling and stewarding during the show.
